A classic icon, the name Crombie evokes the very best of British. Handmade quality with a history of being the go to place for coats and now our made-to-measure service.

Crombie’s exclusive made-to-measure service makes it possible to produce these luxury items in just 6 weeks, respecting the customer's size and desires and maintaining the superb standards of quality for which the British brand is rightfully famous. This service gives the customer a chance to choose the fabric, style and details that personalise a garment.

There are numerous variations that make a garment unique. For the jacket, there is the choice of a single-breasted with one, two or three buttons, or double-breasted style; customers can choose from a classic, narrow lapel or a more distinguished point peak lapel. Dependent on preference of fit, one can choose a single or double vent for the jacket. Button detailing can be a variety of options, from mother of pearl, real horn or metal; and buttonholes can be either left open or stitched closed. For trousers the customer can select the style and cut of the pockets, from ¼ pocket, slant or frock, they can be flat-fronted, single or double pleat dependent on how fitted is required. Monograms are available on the inside of the jacket and on your shirt. Lining can be selected from 15 different types of fabric, including bright colours, polka dots and three options specially finished with the Crombie crest; suits can be ½ or fully lined. Finally, the customer has a choice of 28 different styles of Meltons, again in bright rich colours that will finish the suit exactly to the wishes of the customer.

The customer can choose from more than 400 exclusive fabrics. You have the choice of the block colours, checks and pinstripes to name but a few. Fabrics each with different performance include, light cashmere, high durability wools and travelling fabrics that tend to drop creases instantly. The weaving of the fabric can be selected for the purpose of your suit, from Super 100s, 120s, 130s and 140s, which will affect the softness and feel of your fabric. (New fabrics are available each season). After the fabrics have been selected, style and purpose of the suit will be discussed with the tailors to find the style that flatters the customer's body shape and best suits his taste. Lastly, the finer details will be considered and customised with unique details and special touches.

The measurement process is critical to ensure a perfect custom-tailored fit. The made-to-measure work is performed by specially trained and experienced staff to make sure the delicate task is performed accurately and with professionalism putting the customer at ease. All finishing touches are done by hand, stitch by stitch.
