MR PORTER London Treasure Hunt

Announces LONDON launch of Global Treasure Hunt

MRPORTER.COM honored its 1st birthday earlier in February with a series of online and social media initiatives to celebrate around the globe.

The MR PORTER Global Treasure Hunt, an interactive challenge across five major cities, invites participants to download the exclusive GoldRun app and follow us to our favorite locations to ‘capture’ a MR PORTER shopping bag and win luxury prizes.

After debuting in Sydney, the treasure hunt has already hit New York and Paris, with 45 winners and over 1000 interactions so far. Tomorrow, March 30th, the hunt arrives in London, running for a week in the following locations:

EMMA WILLIS, 66 Jermyn Street, SW1
THE BOUNDARY, 2-4 Boundary Street, E2
BARRAFINA, 54 Frith Street, W1
LA FAMIGLIA, 7 Langton Street, SW10

Treasure hunters must download augmented reality app Goldrun to take part. The app guides you to a choice of locations in each city, where Mr Porter shopping bags will appear — via augmented reality — on their smartphones. Each bag might contain a prize, such as Lanvin sneakers, Paul Smith cufflinks or a pair of A.P.C. jeans. Winners are chosen completely at random and runner-up prizes are also available and include free shipping.

“We are delighted to be celebrating our birthday across a number of platforms. Whether it is utilising Aurasma to enhance the MR PORTER Post or working with the latest generation of augmented reality apps, we wanted to engage with and excite our visitors using the newest technology to refine their experience.”
Jeremy Langmead, Editor-in-chief, MR PORTER.COM
